Recall for American Suzuki ATVs

Do you ride an American Suzuki ATV or know of someone who does? According to an article on WalletPop, published on March 15, 2011, American Suzuki has just recalled nearly 1,350 of their ATVs because of issues with the engines stalling. The underlying issue of the vehicles stalling lies in their circuit board, which has been reported to fail, causing low battery charge.

The recalled products include the 2009 LTZ400 and the LT-Z400Z QuadSport ATVs. If you have one of these vehicles or know of someone who does, discontinue operating the vehicle and contact your Suzuki ATV dealer immediately.

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, “Consumers should immediately stop using these vehicles and contact a local Suzuki ATV dealer to schedule an appointment for a free repair. Consumers with recalled ATVs are being sent a notice directly from Suzuki . . . For more information, contact Suzuki at (800) 444-5077 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. PT Monday through Friday, or visit the firm’s website at www.suzukicycles.com.”

Thanksgiving is one of the Uricchio Law Firm team’s favorite times of year, when we can gather with close family and friends and share our thanks for all of the wonderful things we have in our lives. And we’re extremely thankful to celebrate such a superb day in the Lowcountry, where the autumn weather is gorgeous and perfect for some outdoor fun!

Some tips to keep in mind for a safe—and therefore happy—Thanksgiving:

Be responsible about drinking if you’re going to get into a vehicle.
Keep an eye on the stove and the oven while cooking to prevent house fires.
For those who are frying the turkey (a favorite in the Lowcountry), take proper precautions to ensure that you cook the turkey properly by researching, paying attention, and following trusted recipe directions.
