I’m excited to announce to my readers that Bikers Helping Bikers will be holding an excellent benefit event in Summerville, SC. The event takes place on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at Shooters in Summerville, with the first bike riding out at 11 a.m. The even ends at 3 p.m. at Market Street Saloon in North Charleston.Upon arrival to the Market Street Saloon, bikers will receive chicken wings, provided by the Saloon.
The benefit costs $15.00 per rider and $5.00 per passenger. This registration fee will be split equally among One Lucky Rider and Bikers Helping Bikers.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with Bikers Helping Bikers, they are “a non profit organization created to assist bikers injured in motorcycle related accidents. It was created and formed by a local group of friends and fellow riders that felt driven to give back to the motorcycling community that we are a part of.”
I’ll be riding in the event, so I hope to see you there!
Contact Bikers Helping Bikers for more information about the event and how to register.

As many of you know, I am a lifelong biker and Charleston personal injury, criminal defense and workers compensation lawyer who serves the entire South Carolina tri-county area. One of my passions is to help bikers and others understand their rights on and off the road, stay educated on current and upcoming motorcycle legislation, and stay posted on upcoming motorcycle rallies and events in South Carolina.
Because my main goal with this blog is to facilitate conversation among the biker community in the lowcountry and elsewhere in the world, I’d love to welcome all of the Biker’s Law readers to send me any pictures, news, or event information pertaining to motorcycles. Whether you just restored your bike and want to showcase it on our blog, are attending an upcoming biker event that you want to spread awareness about, or want to share your advice on biker safety, I invite you to send any of your submissions to me at blog@uricchiolaw.com.
I look forward to hearing from you all!
September 25th the Annual Fall Yard Sale supporting Tri-County Bikers Helping Bikers took place at the Walmart shopping center in Summerville. My wife, dog (Chancho) and I stopped by to check it out and were amazed at the array of items for sale. Everything from household goods, tools, clothing and furniture could be found, and the best part is, all of the proceeds went to Tri-County Bikers Helping Bikers- a great non-profit that provides financial assistance to injured bikers in the Charleston, Dorchester and Berkley county areas. These sales are held throughout the year along with a number of other great events to support this cause. Check out their website for more information.

This past Saturday morning my weekend was off to a great start when I rode my bike up to Ladson to attend the 4th annual Fall Bike Rally and Car Show support Tri-County Bikers Helping Bikers. Later on I attended the Benefit Poker Run & Fish Fry at Spanky Bottoms in Summerville. Then on Sunday, I was off the 2nd Annual UNDY 500 which ended with a fun after party at California Dreaming.
I can’t think of a better way to spend my free time than getting involved in these great local causes that all support individuals in our community! A few of my pictures are posted below, but to see many more from these great events, please visit my firm’s Facebook fan page.
